Bachelor of Arts in International Studies
May 2013

Since beginning my undergraduate career in August of 2009, I have completely engaged in all components of this experience. The skills I have gained in my four years, which largely are analytical, management and leadership skills are both useful and transferable. Currently, I serve as the 71st President of Spelman College's Student Government Association. In this capacity, I oversee management of the entire student government association and am the student representative to Spelman College’s Board of Trustees. Daily, I use my interpersonal skills to negotiate and compromise new policies presented by the student government's executive board, the college's board of trustees and the student body. I have also advanced my skills in the Spanish and Hindi languages. Most importantly, I have developed research experiences whereby I presented some of my findings at the University of Notre Dame at the Kellogg Institute-Ford Family Program Fifth Annual Human Development Conference.
